March of last year (2010) my 13 year old daughter passed away with Cerebral Palsy, it has left me and my wife devastated not to mention my 12 year old son. But none of us would have been able to get through it if it had not been for the love and support of our local charity run children’s hospice (Robin house) there is only two of these fantastic places in Scotland. My daughter Natasha loved Robin house she used to stay over whenever they had a free slot as there very busy as some children are rushed there to spend there last few days around loved ones. But it’s also a happy fun place as Natasha would come home smiling after every visit covered in face paint and glitter. The staff have not stopped giving they even suppled grief councillors to us so its for that reason we decided to give back we already have had a local group setup a sponsored bike tour to Spain for us. Were not asking for money all Were asking for is members to signup for our new photo hosting community and host your photos it’s free we will raise money through advertisements and Ad-sense. 100% of all raised goes to the hospice. Smugmug.com is, so far, absolutely amazing looking but it costs $ 39.95/yr. I’m not cheap but I’d rather not pay if I can find a photo host that meets the following simple requirements….
1. Can upload unlimited photos;
2. Can password protect individual folders;
3. My friends & family can order prints of MY pics on their own;
4. Uploader is simple and easy-to-use;
5. User interface/folders easy to navigate;
6. Customer service is decent;
7. Price is reasonable (ex. 10-15 cents for 4×6);
8. Optional – blog, or way to communicate with viewers, but not necessary.
I’m open to all suggestions such as, but not limited to, Walgreen’s, CVS, Snapfish, etc… whichever ones you know about and think meet the above requirements, I’m willing to listen.

As of now, no one has assured me that any of the current suggestions have all the desired features. I’m hoping to hear from someone who knows, for sure. If I wanted to pore over dozens of sites doing the timely research myself, I wouldn’t need to ask the question here at Yahoo Answers.
Does anyone know if a free site definitely has the above requirements? If so, don’t just say the name of the site but say that it meets the requirements, thanks.

California programmers, archivists and economists have unveiled a new engine for preserving photos, videos and other digital materials indefinitely. The launch was reported earlier this week in a local publication, the San Jose Mercury News.
Kai Pommerenke, a joint economist and information technologist from Santa Cruz released the ?Chronicle of Life? website to university alumni, California and worldwide press just prior to Christmas. A series of data-preservation standards outlined by the United States library of Congress formed the guiding methodological principle behind Pommerenke?s creation of the site. With strict regulations concerning the processes involved, the development of the site took more than three years.
In order to recoup the costs associated with launching the site, Pommerenke announced that users would be able to upload their photos, videos and stories or other text to the site, which the webmasters suggest will preserve them forever. The current rates are for 10 megabytes of storage, which affords users of Chronicle of Life enough space to save about a dozen mid-quality photos or 1,100 pages of printed text.
Many commentators have noted the obvious similarities between Pommerenke?s site and social media applications which rely on cheap web hosting to deliver a combined data-storage and interactive online experience. Pommerenke has refuted the idea that his site can be compared to applications like Flickr or Facebook, saying “there are lots of sites out there to store your life story, but none are really credible. The last thing I want is to type out my life story and have my data lost”.
While the pen and paper method still presents an attractive option for preserving one?s life story, services like Facebook and Flickr, by offering free photo sharing and cheap webhosting costs may win out over ?Chronicle of Life? for value alone. Moreover, neither Facebook nor Flickr limit the number of photos users are able to post, store and upload.
